While we lived in Fort Smith, Ada attended Goddard Methodist Preschool/Mother's day out. We loved it there. The teachers were always so sweet and patient with the kids. Ada always enjoyed going! Seeing her in that sweet little cap and gown made me realize how fast these past five years have gone by... Realizing that she is officially starting her "school" career has taken a bit of emotional toll on me. I kind of procrastinated on registering her for kindergarten... I'm excited for her because she is excited, but I'm just not ready for to grow up. It seems like after school they just grow up faster, right?!
It's nice to know we are settled in and starting our progress towards the school bedtimes and such. School starts in just three short weeks.... We've been enjoying the late nights and sleeping in late, but we've had to change it up this past week. My kids do best if they are in bed between 7:30 and 8, so that's what we are moving up to. It's hard when it's not really dark outside, as both my kids point out at bedtime.
I know Ada will do well in school. Darren and I are forever having the conversation of "how" Ada will be in school. We just want her to always do her best, and we will be proud no matter the "letter grade" she gets. I love that Ada is so caring and compassionate... such a nurturer. And so the school life begins.... Get Ready!
