We have had a lot of snow days so far... These pics are from different days. The kids have loved the snow! This last snow we got was the best. It was great for snow ball fights and for snow angels. Mostly, Darren took the kids outside to play. I stayed in and enjoyed the peace and quiet for a few. I kind of spoiled them... The first time it snowed I made homemade choc chip cookies and hot cocoa. So the next time it snowed (and the next, and the next) they kind of expected it. I would say the least excited about the snow is Isaac... He's not sure if he likes it. He can't really make snow balls with mittens on or hold anything for that matter. It's just mostly cold and boring. But he does like the cookies and hot cocoa! It's been fun watching the anticipation of school being out for Zack. I remember the waiting for school to be out... However, Fort Smith schools is pretty conservative about calling off school, so he rarely got to see the closings on TV. I mostly received a phone call at 6 a.m. notifying me that school was out. As a parent, I'm glad they are conservative b/c multiple days of "snowed in" has really made me see how much I need a change of scenery... A scenery other than the inside of my house! Especially when it's too cold to even play outside.
I have realized that the kids love being at home! They totally played with every toy they own. They get really creative with games and they play together. I love seeing that part... I just need some outside time too! Hope everyone else has enjoyed the snow! Now... Bring on the springtime.

So glad you're back to blogging. I love to see pics of the kids (and you & Darren, too, I guess).
Is it bad that we haven't taken Grayson out in this last snow? I somewhat feel guilty about it. It was the best and most plentiful snow this year, but it was just so darn cold that we didn't want to go out. And, I actually think Grayson doesn't mind all that much. He does have his father's aversion to messiness.
I particularly love the picture of Darren making the snow angel. SOOOO glad you took that one!
