Get Excited...

I figured since I do have a blog, I should actually update it... However, I won't be picking up where I left off, due to WAY to MUCH time has passed by.

The Freeman family is doing well. We have had all kinds of sickness this winter and we are ready for the cold season to go away. The kids are doing well. Here is a little update of them.

Ada: Is now taking dance classes and absolutely loves it. The first class I only took her ballet shoes not knowing they were going to be "tapping" and she quickly informed me she needed the shoes that tapped! Done! She is now hooked and as soon as we leave asked me when are we going back. It's quite a fight just to get her to take her tutu off... She loved the snow we had around Christmas and in fact is counting the days this week hoping we are going to get snow again. She recently got her hair cut and it is so cute. Just a few inches but it really has made her hair look better. She's into headbands, so she looks really "big" with her new haircut... She's just growing up so fast. We are branching out on her eating habits.... and all who know Ada this is a big thing. She's doing pretty good with it and so far I think she is making an effort to try new things. She's really into dora and diego right now... As you will see with her next birthday party. She informed me that we are having a dora party! Not sure I'm a fan of that, but it's not my birthday party.

Isaac: Oh Isaac... he is so different than Ada. What a mess he is! He recently got tubes and that has been glorious. I could tell a difference in him the next day. He had more balance, he slept better, he felt better! So glad we did that. He's really starting to repeat what you say to him. His language is developing. He can definitely say cookie, no problem. He makes up for any eating Ada doesn't do. IN fact, there is not much he doesn't like to eat. Still loving his paci and we don't plan to take it away from him anytime soon, so go ahead and save your statements about "that plug in his mouth." He's just not ready to give it up and I'm certainly not ready to take it away from him.

Both my kids are at a really good stage right now. They play with each other and for the most part entertain each other. It's so nice to see them hug each other and really see the excitement on their faces about hugging each other.

Darren and I have started weight watchers officially together. It's so much easier when we do it together than me alone. Work is going well for Darren. Only six months left of "in-hospital" call. Looking forward to him being able to take call from home. This is the last year we will be in Fort Smith. It's hard to believe that Darren will be done with residency next year.

I officially quit my job this year. I am currently unemployed for the first time I can remember. I didn't work very often I know, but I still had an outside job besides taking care of the kids. I'm feeling good about it. I really enjoy staying at home with my kids. It's definitely a choice, not something I feel I have to do. I know staying at home with your kids is not for every one, but I truly enjoy it! Don't get me wrong I have my days of frustration, but I don't doubt my decision to be at home with my kids. I'm very blessed to be able to do that!

I will do my best not to let my blog get this behind. I plan to post some pics soon. But for now, it's a start.
