Oh where to start... Ada is 5! I remember her being born and thinking how beautiful and sweet she is... What a great baby she was... slept like an angel, smiled so sweetly, really never made much of a fuss about anything... Now, she is five and about to start kindergarten. How did the time go by? I am so blessed to have such a sweet, compassionate, loving, nurturing little girl. She always cares about others and how they feel. She just has such a giving heart! I love that so much.... I hope she always stays that way! Granted, I do not want her taken advantage of, but qualities like Ada has are rare indeed. I hope I can help her to keep them and really use them to do great things in her life.
She has been so excited about turning 5. She, of course, is excited about starting school. She thinks 5 is like the magic number that somehow makes her a "real" big girl. Along with Ada's many great qualities, she has a love/hate relationship with food and eating. I can't tell you how many different strategies I have tried to get this child to eat. It's really like she's in pain when she has to eat... if only I could harbor some of that... but anyway... For the past year, I have really started to "guilt" her into eating. Since she is so sensitive to others, I would really cater to that to get her to at least try things. One night this past week, she ate a one whole green bean and a piece of mac-n-cheese...Now, I know this sounds weird, but I was SO PROUD!!! I can't tell you how long I've been putting green beans and mac and cheese on her plate (5 years...) waiting for her to like it. While I won't say she loved it, she did eat it. And without gagging!!! Fabulous!
I am so thankful to have her in my life and I learn from her everyday. She always reminds me as to how we should treat others. Thank you God for my sweet little girl.

This is SUCH a precious post, Rachel. You're such a great Mommy! To answer your questions about how I got Leigh Ann's pics on my blog. She had put them on facebook and I just swiped them off of facebook just for my blog. Hope that was okay with her. I saw some of Ada's pics that Leigh Ann did, and of course...they're amazing. It's hard to not take great pics of such a pretty girl though! Hope to get to talk with you soon!
