On Labor Day weekend, we made plans to go to the Razorback game with friends. I haven't seen these friends in quite some time, and it is always great to catch up with them. Austin and Alesha have a little girl, Bailey, who is just a few months older than Ada, and are expecting their second. Braxton and Courtney have a little girl, Gracyn, that will be two in December. On Saturday, before the game, we met at our house and had pizza. It was so weird to see all of our kids playing together... I've know these two boys since the 5th grade, so it kind of made me feel old... My parents came up to babysit all the kids while we all went to the Razorback game.
Not only was this the first game, it was my first game. Hard to believe for some, but if you know me it's not that hard to believe. I'm not the biggest sports fan...I just don't get the excitement of getting pushed and hit and injured for the purpose of a ball... but whatever makes you happy. My husband is forever trying to convince me that it's about more than a ball, but I just can't get behind it. However, I enjoyed the atmosphere, the people, and the excitement that surrounded us. Thanks to Braxton and Courtney, we had great seats. We were close to the student section and it was fun to watch them! I mostly watched the poor little cheerleader girl who kept messing up....lol...
When the players ran out on the field, the crowd went crazy... The excitement level was huge and they called the hogs like a thousand times... There were several players who knelt and prayed on the field. That was nice to see. The band was great as well as all the other entertainment.
The plan was to stay the night in hotel and come home the next morning... As we checked in and got settled in our room, Darren realized that he had brought my parents overnight bag instead of ours. Yeah... that's about right. We survived though, after a quick trip to K-mart.
After the game, we went to a Mexican place to eat and have yummy margaritas. It was so great to catch up and see everyone. Hopefully it won't be years before we see each other again.
So to answer everyone's question:
How was your first Razorback game?... It was fun to be with friends. And I can now say, I've been to a Razorback game.

Oh my word! You did not just say that football is all about "getting pushed and hit and injured for the purpose of a ball"! What did your parents do to you growing up?! Just kidding (kind of).
Razorback games have an awesome atmosphere. I'm glad you two got to go.
One more thing...What in the world were you doing in a long sleeve shirt? Wasn't it hot outside?
No it was cool... we were in the shade. I never even broke a sweat.
Great pics! I've always wanted to go to a Razorback game.
