Christmas and the New Year!

I can't believe this is my son. Wow he is so big.. We are used to seeing Ada and she was so tiny, so seeing him is so different. He's wearing 6 month clothes and he's just now 4 months. He's so handsome. I think he looks so much like his daddy. He's doing so great. He's sleeping and eating like a champ. I gave him applesauce this week and he wasn't such a fan, but I gave him bananas tonight and he didn't make such the face he did with the applesauce, so we'll see if he likes it better. My sister-in-law, Shelley, took this picture on New Year's Day at my other sister-in-law's, Mandi, house. Thanks for taking this picture. When I look at it, it's so hard for me to believe he is this big already.

This weekend my mom came to visit and she took some pictures while Darren and I were out. This is Isaac teething and his big sister happy as always to be in the picture with him. My grandpa came to visit while my grandma was at the casino and mom took this picture of them together. Ada has always taken up with my grandpa even when she was little and hadn't seen him in a while. She knows where her bread is buttered. Mom said they had such a good time. I hated I missed seeing them together.

After coming back from Christmas at my parents, we went to our friends house Krisha and Landon, and had a small Christmas dinner with some close friends. Krisha and Landon have a Wii and the game rock band, so we all got a chance to enjoy it. This is Darren playing the guitar, Landon playing the other guitar, Nick is on the drums, and Travis is of course singing. It was so fun to watch and play. I can't tell you how much fun everyone had. The dinner was so delicious and kids had fun. However, we did miss the girls, Carter and Reagan, who were in Florida with their grandparents. And, Nick and Sara had to leave early, so we missed them as well while we were playing the Wii.

This is Ada on Christmas morning after Santa had brought her gifts. She just had to get dressed up with her high-heels and all before painting her masterpiece. She love the art easel and dress up clothes. If she doesn't grow up to do something in the fine arts department, I'll be shocked. I can't tell you how much she loves to get dressed and up and sing the "once upon a dream" song from the movie Sleeping Beauty. It's so cute and funny!

On Christmas day night we go to Darren's brother's house and eat and open presents. This year we decided to just buy for the kids. It was a lot of fun. The kids were so excited about the gifts and it was hard for them to move on to the next present because they wanted to open and play with the one they just opened. IT's hard to make them just put that one aside and open another one. It's like do you make them just throw that toy to the side and forget about it to open another gift or do you let them play with it first... I don't know the answer but there were so many gifts she could have opened one a day for at least two weeks. Anyway, Isaac pretty much slept the whole time besides the waking up to eat. Thanks Aunt Mandi for holding me.

On Christmas Eve, we went to my Aunt Myra and Uncle Tim's house. She cooked an excellent meal and all we did was show up. This is a picture of Myra's mother, Glenda, who has known me since I was seven. This was the first time she got to meet Isaac, as you can see she was excited. She held him most of the night. The other picture is the kids with my sister in their matching Christmas pj's. We had such a good time. The kids got way to many presents as usual, but it was nice to see everyone and visit. We were missing a few family members though. Aunt Charla and Gordon couldn't come, but we missed them both.

Thanks for posting pics of all the Christmas fun. I enjoyed looking at them. Of course, my favorite was all the men of our lives acting like they were rock stars.

I can't believe how big Isaac is either. I just saw him! He already looks completely different. I like that shirt, too. I'll bring Janson's and we can take a picture of them together. Maybe we can get some matching photos of the girls, too.
